This Privacy Policy describes how Café Andrés (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when using the app. Questions or deletion requests? Email us at privacy@cafeandres.app.
Café Andrés only collects content you explicitly create in the app:
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g. in a support email).
The app may request permission to access your device camera and photo library. These permissions are used exclusively to photograph coffee bags or beans and attach images to your entries.
We take reasonable technical precautions to protect your data, but no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Café Andrés uses Google Gemini AI to provide equipment suggestions. When you request a suggestion, the name and description of your equipment may be sent to the Gemini API. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests. This feature is optional and only activates when you explicitly request a suggestion.
Google’s data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
Your data is retained for as long as you use the app. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing privacy@cafeandres.app. We will permanently delete your brew logs, coffee entries, equipment records, and uploaded images within 30 days of a valid deletion request.
Café Andrés is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
